Portland Chiropractic Services
Our Portland chiropractic clinic has been serving our local community since 2008, and since then we have earned a reputation for healing through total body care. Our techniques are comfortable and pain-free, we x-ray and evaluate patients prior to treatment, and we are passionate about not only treating, but also educating. Our Portland chiropractic clinic is conveniently located on NW Burnside, where we gladly accept walk-in appointments.
We offer total body care and education through our chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapies. Whether you are interested in rehabilitative or preventative care, we encourage you to contact us or stop by Flores Chiropractic Portland for a free consultation.
Chiropractic Techniques
Dr. Flores uses a “low-force” technique that is very comfortable for the patient and, in conjunction with spinal adjustments, he also performs auricular therapy. Auricular therapy is the electrical stimulation of acupuncture points in the ear, and it helps release endorphins in the brain. Endorphins are the body’s natural “pain killer.” The electrical stimulation technique is growing in popularity because it is virtually painless with no danger of infection, and the results are equal to or better than those of other techniques. The combination of chiropractic adjustments with auricular therapy has provided much needed relief for Portland chiropractic patients with various conditions.
Please be mindful that chiropractic is not like one drug used for one condition. It is a complete healing art concerned with the systems of the body—nervous, circulatory, digestive, respiratory, eliminatory, reproductive, hormonal, musculoskeletal—and seeks to correct overall health.
What's involved in a typical visit?
Each visit to Flores Chiropractic Portland begins with a discussion of your personal health needs and how you can best be treated through chiropractic care. Then, a thorough examination will be performed, utilizing orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic tests. To help evaluate your condition, an x-ray may be taken. If so, Dr. Flores will examine the x-rays and determine the severity of your condition and to evaluate if other pathologies are present that would be contradictory to treatment. Further testing may be needed to make the appropriate diagnosis. After Dr. Flores has thoroughly evaluated your history, physical exam and x-rays, he will meet with you to discuss an individual treatment program designed to restore your physical capabilities.
